Making progress on house type things. To make it worthwhile I really need to find blocks of 4+ free hours, and they don't come by very often. Makes for slow progress and frustration, but I'm determined to get there.
It's nice to have before, during and after photos to look back on. Read on for the pictorial review.
The old air conditioner became a hole in the wall.
On the inside, the hole got bigger before it got smaller.
Which uncovered the tasty wallpaper of yesteryear.
Until it was covered up again. This was a snug fit... too snug as it turns out, for gyprock. Nonetheless, several layers of spak filler and a lot of sanding later, and the new air con hangs graciously above the old hole.
The outer still needed doing, and once again, the first job was to make the hole bigger!
And then, bit by bit, the hole closed up.
This time No More Gaps was the gap filler to finish the job, leaving a finish that, at least in the dark, didn't look too bad!
The garage has been given a makeover too, in anticipation of the same scheme being applied to the house.
First, the existing surface was prepared.
And then the garish green began to fade.
Until finally it became a brilliant creamy white (I mean, "Sandshoe").
All that was left, was a very large and very heavy pile of scrap!
